Michelle Joos earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She obtained her Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.
Michelle’s career in the healthcare industry began as a Life Skills Instructor and later, as a Behavioral Health Community Specialist at Little City in Palatine, Illinois, with a focus on optimizing patients’ treatment and intervention plans.
Michelle subsequently worked at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where she served as a Behavioral Health Associate and Mental Health Technician. Here, she treated patients in the context of group therapy and also individual intervention. Michelle has expertise working with personality and behavioral concerns, trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, autism spectrum disorder, sensory integration concerns, traumatic brain injury/concussions, and developmental disabilities.
On the NeuroHealth Team, Michelle conducts initial intake sessions and provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples and family therapy. Michelle also provides biofeedback intervention to children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, Michelle provides clinical administrative support to our team at NeuroHealth.
