
Dhara Shah earned her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her M.A. in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her Internship at Solutions Counseling and Consultant Group in Chicago, Illinois where she conducted new patient intakes, as well as developed treatment plans and provided individual and family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Dhara also provided couples therapy as well. Dhara has expertise in a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral, dialectical, person-centered, as well as play therapy and art therapy approaches.
Dhara has also previously served as a substitute elementary school teacher in which she was responsible for implementing lesson plans, as well as a private tutor in which she provided academic support and intervention to children and adolescents.
Dhara’s background and experience also includes community engagement/outreach and behavioral health awareness initiatives. Dhara is a member of the American Counseling Association. Dhara has background and expertise in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality issues, trauma, behavioral concerns, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders.
At NeuroHealth Dhara conducts new patient intakes and also provides individual and family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, Dhara provides couples therapy and also parenting skills intervention.
