Dr. Deidre Coulter

Dr. Deidre Coulter, Ph.D. earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana and her Master of Arts and Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Dr. Coulter started her career working as a school psychology intern at Recovery School District in New Orleans, Louisiana. Subsequently, Dr. Coulter worked as a school psychologist at the Jefferson Parish Public School System in Marrero, Louisiana. Here, she worked with the educational team to determine students’ progress through the Response to Intervention process. She also provided consultative services to educators, parents, and related service providers to determine students’ educational and behavioral needs. Further, Dr. Coulter conducted Functional Behavioral Assessments in order to create customized Behavioral Intervention Plans.

Dr. Coulter continued her career at the North DuPage Special Education Cooperative in Roselle, Illinois where she conducted evaluations with children, adolescents, and young adults. In addition, Dr. Coulter also consulted with faculty, parents, and students to create specialized behavioral plans in order for students to achieve optimal success in the school setting.

Dr. Coulter subsequently worked at Indian Prairie School District in Naperville, Illinois where she assessed students relative to their academic, behavioral, and emotional needs. She consulted with parents, staff, and students to construct cohesive plans for students to succeed in the school.

Dr. Coulter also provided psychological services at Valley View School District #365U. Dr. Coulter provided psychological assessments and interventions to children and adolescents and also consultative services to staff, parents, and students. Moreover, she served on the Crisis Team providing evaluations and assistance to students in need.

Dr. Coulter also has conducted psychological and neuropsychological testing with adults over the course of her career.

Dr. Coulter has extensive experience and expertise working with children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder, cognitive concerns, behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, developmental disabilities, sensory integration concerns, mood disorders, head injuries/concussions, and executive function difficulties.

On the NeuroHealth Team, Dr. Coulter conducts initial intake sessions and also psychological and neuropsychological testing with children, adolescents and adults. In addition, she conducts feedback sessions regarding the results of testing with patients, parents, and families.
