Maria Maloles

Maria Maloles earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Centro Escolar University in the Philippines, as well as a Master of Arts in Education from San Pablo Colleges.

Prior to joining NeuroHealth, Maria served as a Special Education School Counselor at Indian Prairie Elementary School (District 47) in Crystal Lake, Illinois. In this role, she provided individual counseling, conducted risk assessments, authored IEP social- emotional reports, and supported both general and special education students through social-emotional learning initiatives. She worked closely with school staff and families to ensure comprehensive student support.

Maria has worked in a variety of settings in both the Philippines and Illinois. She has provided psychological assessment to children, adolescents, and young adults. Maria also has robust experience and knowledge with assessment and psychotherapeutic intervention with college students and adults.

In addition, she has served as a school counselor at all grade levels, and supported students with special needs, including those with autism and emotional regulation challenges. She also has extensive training and experience in crisis intervention and social-emotional learning.

Maria is certified by the Illinois State Board of Education with endorsements in School Counseling and Supervising School Counselor roles, having previously served students from Pre-K through age 22.

Maria has served as a college instructor, teaching courses in group dynamics, learning theories, and psychological counseling,

On the NeuroHealth Team, Maria conducts initial intake sessions and provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples and family therapy.
