
Dr. Waldinda Belt earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management from Potomac University in Washington D.C. She obtained a Master’s of Arts in Psychology from Ashford University in Chandler, Arizona. She also received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Ashford University.
Dr. Belt has an extensive assessment and psychotherapy experience working for over the past 15 years with children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Belt has previously been a clinical staff member with the non-profit Community Advocates for Family & Youth in Maryland, where she was responsible for providing telephone crisis intervention, safety planning, providing adequate resources for children, adolescents, adults, and families in crisis as well as developing an initial treatment plan based on the results of her assessment of the case.
Subsequently, Dr. Belt was a staff member at A.C.T.S. Turning Points in Virginia, working with women and children who were victims of domestic violence. At A.C.T.S. she provided assessment services as well as psychotherapy which focused on building self-esteem, anger-management and communication skills. She also provided tutoring services to women in transitional housing studying for their GED. Additionally, Dr. Belt worked with A.C.T.S. Victim Services, providing on-call coverage of a 24-hour hotline as well as involvement in forensic assessments.
At NeuroHealth, Dr. Belt conducts initial intake sessions, as well as provides neuropsychological assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults. In addition she provides individual and family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples therapy. Dr. Belt’s background includes assessment and treatment expertise with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, developmental concerns, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral concerns, trauma, and ADHD.
