Johnathan E. Brenner

Johnathan Brenner earned his Bachelor of General Studies in Psychology at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, his Master’s degree in School Psychology from National Louis University in Evanston, Illinois, and his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership at Concordia University in Chicago, Illinois.

Johnathan began his career as a school psychologist at the Winnebago Special Education Cooperative in Rockton, Illinois. In this role, he led Special Education Teams, conducted assessment meetings and provided psychological testing and reports. In addition, Johnathan conducted classroom observations and Functional Assessments of Behavior as well as created early childhood interventions and plans. Further, he provided teacher consultations and pre-school screenings as well as psychological assessments.

Subsequently, Johnathan worked with the Northern DuPage Special Education Cooperative in Roselle, Illinois. Here he provided a variety of behavioral and curriculum-based assessments. He also conducted early childhood inventions, preschool screenings, and individual and group therapy.

Johnathan has also worked at Community Consolidated School District 21 in Wheeling, Illinois, the Martin Luther King Magnet School District 65 in Evanston, Illinois, Wescott Elementary School District 30 in Northbrook, Illinois, and Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois.
Johnathan has served as a Special Education Administrator at JS Morton District 201 in Cicero, Illinois, as an Educational Specialist at the Community Unit School District 300 in Algonquin, Illinois, as a Department Coordinator at Waukegan Public School District 60 in Waukegan, Illinois, and as a Program Supervisor at Bellwood School District 88 in Bellwood, Illinois.

Jonathan has extensive experience and expertise working with children, adolescents and adults with autism-spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury/concussions, mood disorders, and executive function difficulties.
On the NeuroHealth Team, Jonathan provides psychological and neuropsychological evaluations as well as individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Jonathan also provides couples and family therapy. In addition, Jonathan conducts feedback sessions with patients, parents, and families regarding the results of psychological and neuropsychological testing.
